The Lenoir Hospital Foundation was established over thirty years ago to receive and steward private donations for the purpose of enhancing patient care through support to the Hospital. It does so through grants in support of:
To recognize and show appreciation for the philanthropy of major contributors, a donor recognition wall is displayed just inside the hospital entrance.
The mission of the Foundation is to ensure exceptional healthcare for the people we serve.
Lenoir Memorial Hospital Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that supports the mission of UNC Lenoir Health Care, to ensure exceptional healthcare for the people we serve.
The Lenoir Hospital Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable corporation established for the support of UNC Lenoir Health Care and the facilities, programs, and services it offers to serve citizens of Lenoir, Greene, and Jones Counties.
The Foundation’s purpose is to support the mission of UNC Lenoir Health Care through advocacy, education, relationships, philanthropy and stewardship.
The Foundation is dedicated to attaining charitable contributions, managing these funds and disbursing these funds for the benefit of UNC Lenoir Health Care and the people it serves.
The board of directors is comprised of the Hospital’s President & CEO, the UNC Lenoir Health Care Board treasurer, a representative from the UNC Lenoir Health Care staff and UNC Lenoir Health Care Volunteers, and other community leaders. These individuals provide oversight for the Foundation’s policies and procedures and monitor its finances and grants.
Your philanthropy provides the needed resources to help maintain the best possible patient-centered care available in our clinical programs and services. Your individual acts of generosity help improve the quality of life for people in our community, not only today but into the future.
Grants made inside the Hospital must first pass the test of whether the requested funds will be used to directly improve patient care. The request may be for any department or unit in the Hospital, or may be applied hospital-wide. Funding for educational and advocacy programs in our community, outside of the hospital, must first be requested and approved by the Hospital’s office of Community Development.
